Kilometer 7 Update

Finally! We're now able to wrap up this kilometer. It's been a while, and you're probably familiar with the features we'll cover in this update.

Nevertheless, it's always a pleasure to update everyone on what happened in the arc of Kilometer 7.

Where do we start?

Search for Races

When we started Race Wallet, there were only a few races available to view. I can remember having only 10 to 20 races. And adding a search functionality didn't make sense then.

But as the growth continued, the number of races started rising, and more people recommended new races that we hadn't heard of!

That's the power of Race Recommendation and most importantly, the community!

And since the races kept on rising, having the ability to filter out the results is now needed.

This is why, we've prioritized adding that feature in this update.

Race Receipt

One of the biggest features in this update is Race Receipt which allows users to showcase their wrap-up races and make it official!

It is actually just a fun feature that we've had in mind. We thought it would be cool to have an official receipt for all the races you've attended.

Since releasing that feature last month, lots of people noticed Race Wallet and made it part of their racing journey. Huge shout out to everyone who became part because of Race Receipt.

Race Check-In

When we were brainstorming on how we can retrieve photos and results (coming soon!), one of the questions we had was how can we link you and your photos and results.

It turns out, it's your bib number!

Whatever systems there or integration that we need to do in the future, all of these things can be associated with your bib number. And we can use that as one of the variables we need to complete the linking.

To be honest, it's so cool to see this working and have it integrated with other systems.

We have a lot of useful and cool things to do here to provide you with a better and best racing experience!

Timely Notifications for Upcoming Races

In case you haven't noticed, we're now sending out app notifications when your race is about to come. This is one of our initiatives to make sure you stay informed about your upcoming races.

We've also received reports that there are cases in which notifications are being duplicated on the same day. Rest assured, we're working on better notification handling as we go along!

The timing of sending those notifications usually happens at night! We might update it but that works for now.

Race Photos

In the past weeks or so, we've updated the look of our app. I would say it is now looking greater than ever! We now have tabs on the race details, a bit of emerald color in the mix, and better spacing and fonts. Just the overall beauty of art.

The reason for that is to create a better room for other features such as Race Photos!

Race Photos is one of the biggest features we have on this update as this starts breaking the mental barrier that the impossible things can be possible too!

The ability to view your race photos in one place, without any searching on Facebook pages and other websites, is such an awesome experience from a runner's perspective.

No need to search multiple albums hoping to find your photos.

No need to go through multiple websites, and search with your face or bib number hoping to see your photos.

With Race Photos, your race memories are exactly where they need to be.

What's Next?

Every kilometer update is an important milestone to us as it serves as our checkpoint on the features, fixes, or news that we currently have.

And we're excited and grateful to say that we have a lot of things in store for you!

Our goal is crystal clear, all your races, all in one place. We are committed to providing you with a better experience.

There have been so many times we thought something was impossible to achieve, and yet here we are, standing and moving towards our goal to make the impossible, possible!
